Program Director/Lead Educator Training Facilitator

Dr. Tinita Ortega Kearney is a pediatric speech-language pathologist, award-winning author, nationally recognized speaker, and founder of Shifting Perspectives. Her work is dedicated to transforming inclusive education through a time-efficient, equity-centered training model that equips educators to confidently serve diverse learners. By reimagining professional development, she and her team strengthen teacher preparedness, spark student engagement, and help reduce disproportionality in special education. 

With a Ph.D. in Communication Sciences & Disorders from Howard University and more than a decade of experience across public and non-public school settings, Dr. Kearney bridges theory and practice to create meaningful, measurable impact. She’s trained speech-language pathologists and educators nationwide, empowering school teams to unlock the potential in every student. In addition to her direct work in schools, she has served nearly a decade on Maryland’s Board of Examiners for Audiologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Hearing Aid Dispensers, and Music Therapists—ultimately as Vice Chair—where she was honored with a Distinguished Service Award for her leadership and service. 

Beyond the classroom, Dr. Kearney has authored the award-winning Lola Koala’s Travel Adventures lift-the-flap board book series, supporting early speech and language development in young children. Rooted in her Afro-Latina heritage and passion for equity, she continues to travel the country inspiring educators and clinicians, while advancing global change through her nonprofit, Education for the Kingdom, Inc.

Leadership Training Facilitator

Dr. Alaina Davis is a dynamic academic leader, educator, and mentor with a proven track record in preparing the next generation of speech-language pathologists and advancing graduate education. She earned her Ph.D. from Howard University, where she now serves as Chair of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders. In this role, Dr. Davis provides strategic leadership, directs faculty, oversees program development, and drives initiatives that strengthen both graduate training and clinical practice.

With expertise in leadership development, curriculum design, and program assessment, Dr. Davis has held key roles including Assistant Director of Graduate Assessment and Chair of the Graduate Assessment Council. She specializes in building leadership capacity among educators, equipping them to navigate complex instructional demands, mentor colleagues, and strengthen school pipelines for teacher-leaders. As director of the Cognitive-Communicative Skills Research Lab, she mentors emerging scholars and models evidence-based approaches to leadership, collaboration, and inclusive practice.

Widely recognized for her scholarship on cognitive-communicative function, equity in education, and culturally responsive practice, Dr. Davis brings a passion for inclusive excellence to every professional development and leadership training session she facilitates. Her work empowers educators and school teams to lead with vision, confidence, and purpose—transforming learning environments and cultivating the next generation of leaders in education.

Leadership Training Facilitator

Cory Daise is a dynamic executive leadership coach, educator, and community mentor with expertise in mindset transformation, team culture building, and leadership development. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Morehouse College and advanced ontological coach training through Accomplishment Coaching. Cory empowers leaders to strengthen both interpersonal and intrapersonal skills, guiding them to sustain growth while fostering high-performing, culturally responsive teams.

With a professional background managing high-impact marketing campaigns for global brands such as Samsung, State Farm, and Honest Tea, Cory brings a strategic lens to leadership development—connecting vision, people, and results in meaningful ways. As a committed community leader, he serves as a high school football coach, volunteers with the Boys and Girls Club, and mentors youth as a Board Member of 100 Black Men of Greater Washington.

Cory’s unique blend of corporate leadership experience, coaching expertise, and grassroots mentorship equips him to help educators and school leaders build adaptive leadership skills, mentor colleagues, and cultivate thriving school cultures. His work bridges strategy and human connection, inspiring teams to lead with purpose, resilience, and impact.

Educator Training Facilitator

Keisha Berry is a dynamic speech-language pathologist, educator, and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience supporting diverse learners across clinical, educational, and community settings. She holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Howard University, a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood/Special Education from Bowie State University, and advanced doctoral coursework in Special Education, along with an Executive Certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University.

As founder and owner of Spectrum Education and Therapy Center, Keisha leads with purpose—providing strategic leadership, program development, compliance oversight, and professional training for educators and healthcare professionals. Her background includes serving as a Clinical Director overseeing multidisciplinary teams, an adjunct professor preparing the next generation of practitioners, and a special education teacher in Prince George’s County Public Schools.

Licensed in Maryland and Washington, D.C., Keisha is recognized for her expertise in culturally responsive teaching, special education equity, and curriculum development. A dedicated homeschool mother and founder of Spectrum Homeschool Learning Clubs, she brings a personal commitment to reimagining education for all learners. Keisha’s work bridges the gap between research and practice—empowering educators and families to create inclusive, engaging, and equitable learning environments.

Instructional Design Specialist​

​

Alexis Flemings is a passionate educator, instructional coach, and academic leader with over a decade of experience helping teachers and students thrive. She holds a Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction from Liberty University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology & Criminal Justice from North Carolina Wesleyan College.

As an Instructional Coach, she is rated “Highly Effective” for the way she supports educators through hands-on coaching, professional development, and collaborative curriculum planning. Alexis has also taught certification coursework as an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University and designs curriculum as an instructional design consultant, specializing in leadership and educator development programs.

Passionate about equitable and culturally responsive instruction, Alexis specializes in designing engaging learning experiences that empower teachers and improve student outcomes. Her expertise and vision make her exceptionally equipped to serve as an Instructional Design Specialist, empowering educators and school teams to create engaging, impactful, and inclusive learning environments.
